Central Coast Moving Team Feature – Javari Leach

Meet Javari Leach. He’s a 3rd generation Atascaderian, doesn’t like cheese and owns a deaf Great Dane named Sammy. Javari, who goes by Jay, is Central Coast Moving & Storage’s own VP of Sales.

Jay plays an important role at CCM. Mainly, he’s your friendly guide through your professional mover journey. From your free scheduled estimate (virtually or in-person!) to your follow up call after your move day, Jay is there to ensure you’re getting the best experience you can possibly have.

The 24-year-old has come a long way since starting with Central Coast Moving in 2021. Jay was hired by owner Austin Yarborough as a Sales Coordinator and quickly became a pillar within the CCM family and the whole of the Central Coast moving industry, accepting the role of VP of Sales and even becoming Chapter President of the California Moving and Storage Association.

The CMSA is a body tasked with the role of regulating the California moving and storage industry. They aid professional moving and storage companies stay within regulation and maintain their licensing as well as help ensure consumers are receiving proper, fair and quality service. The organization also provides its members and their families with the opportunity to apply for a $1,000 grant that is given away once a year.

As President of the Central Coast Chapter, Jay’s role involves organizing fundraisers and collecting donations to fund their grants, ensuring that all the rules and regulations are being followed and last but certainly not least, assuring that your move was executed to your complete satisfaction!

Coming from a customer service background of almost a decade, Jay truly enjoys helping people. Both his role as Chapter President and VP of Sales allow him to take his job one step further in making an impactful difference for customers.

“I have more pride about my job as a sales person because I don’t just look at myself as being a sales coordinator or VP of Sales for CCM,” says Leach. “I have a duty to all of the Central Coast to ensure every consumer’s move goes well, regardless if they work with us.”

Central Coast Moving may not always be the best fit for a customer’s needs and in these cases, Jay steps in and directs them to another local company that can take care of them.

As the VP of Sales, one of Jay’s main responsibilities is meeting potential customers either virtually or in their homes to provide them a fair and reasonable quote and to share his opinion of how great of a local company Central Coast Moving truly is.

“Austin and I and the operations manager, Nate, are all locals,” says Leach. “I feel like we’re a great representation of North County – I’m from Atascadero, Nate’s from Templeton and Austin being from Paso. We really care about the people we move and we enjoy our jobs so we love to share that with clients!”

Central Coast Moving’s motto is ‘treating moving like a craft, employees like family and our clients like our neighbors’ and Jay and the rest of the Central Coast Moving crew live by it.

“It’s not just another move to me, it’s like, I’m actually helping people get where they need to go and helping people have jobs and having a positive company culture,” says Jay. “Having a boss or a manager that actually pays attention to you really makes a big difference in them wanting to work for you.”

So whether you’re looking for local storage in Paso or you’re getting ready to make a move, you can trust Jay to guide you to the right solutions with a smile.
